The images in more detail
As early as 2016, the first PERI formwork systems were featured in the Tekla Warehouse from Trimble. In so doing, the company met with a large and positive response. In 2017, the plug-in for Autodesk REVIT followed – the Library for REVIT. In the past few months, PERI has been investing a lot of time and effort at its Weissenhorn headquarters in other component libraries in order that the Tekla Warehouse continues to be filled with PERI systems.
Now, users of Tekla Structures BIM software have easy access to a wide range of PERI wall, slab and column formwork systems directly in the library of their usual software. The corresponding links can also be found on the PERI website.
Customer-oriented solution
Numerous, direct discussions with customers highlighted the clear desire for planning to be realised in the usual BIM-capable software environment. PERI has fully complied with this request and has provided planners with a consistent solution ensuring that libraries are available which can be applied without requiring any additional training. Users benefit directly from the benefits through the digital planning and management of formwork operations – with a wider range of PERI systems than ever before.
Further information is available to all interested users on the PERI website or directly in the Tekla Warehouse.
About BIM
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a software-based method for planning and implementing construction projects on the basis a 3D building or building model. Internationally, this trend-setting optimisation of the construction process for large-scale projects has proved itself to be an excellent working method, offering clients as well as all parties involved in the construction work transparent project management and a high level of planning reliability.
All components contained in BIM are precisely described using their visual, technical and functional characteristics. Due to the additional integration of the time and cost factors, the 3D model gradually becomes a 4D or 5D model.
The most important advantage of BIM lies in the fact that planning and design variants can be simulated on the 3D building model at an early stage of the project. In this way, it will be possible for all project participants to see where, when, why and at what cost interface problems could arise – in the building planning phase as well as in the subsequent construction work.
About Tekla Structures
Tekla Structures is a 3D BIM software for planning, modelling, manufacturing and the construction work. The software is suitable for modelling with all materials and all types of projects, and can be shared by civil engineers, designers, manufacturing companies and building contractors in both steel and solid construction.
About Trimble
Trimble is an internationally-operating company that provides positioning technologies along with related products and services to a wide range of industries and industries. Tekla software solutions for Building Information Modelling are part of the Trimble product spectrum.
